KISSIPENNE’S “BID” POLICY  AND HOW TO BID

Please note that there are FOUR ways to purchase an item from KissiPenne’s e-commerce site: “Buy”, “Bid”, “Offer”, or “Layaway”.

“BID”

Terms:

  1. “Bid”: An amount placed on an item in an online auction on kissipenne.com
  2. “Buy”: purchased from KissiPenne.com as a direct sale not as a “Bid”, “Offer”, or “Layaway”.
  3. “Purchaser”: the person whose credit or debit card was used to pay for an item or items from kissipenne.com.
  4. “Offer”: a proposal by a purchaser to buy an item listed on KissiPenne.com for a different amount than displayed or for a negotiated amount. 
  6. “Offeror”: is a purchaser of an item or items being sold on Kissipenne.com and the purchasers initiates the condition of purchase.
  7. “Layaway”: is a contract between KissiPenne and a customer where KissiPenne agrees to an item or items for the customer until payment is made in full.
  8. “Not As Described”: the item or items received by the customer is SIGNIFICANTLY different from the listing description.
  9. “Two Business Days”: Monday through Friday of any week. If a state or federal holiday falls on the business day, the next day is considered the business day.
  10. “Shipping Address”: the address linked to the credit or debit card used to pay for an item or items from kissipenne.com.

“POLICY”

  1. ALL SALES ARE FINAL, AS IS, WHERE IS, AS FOUND
  2. KissiPenne facilitates ONLINE– PROXY bidding ONLY auctions at kissipenne.com
  3. Proxy Bid: a proxy bid allows a bidder to leave a maximum bid on a LOT/ITEM, and the system will bid on that person’s behalf, up to the amount he/she designated.
  4. Notice: no third-party online platform or business entity is authorized, by KissiPenne, to feature lots, on their sites, that we offer for auction.
  5. Opening Bid
  • The opening bid is the first bid placed by a would-be-purchaser and it DOES NOT include the Buyer’s Premium.
  1. Buyer’s Premium
  • Buyer’s Premium on each item up for auction at KissiPenne.com is Fifteen Percent (15%)
  1. Tax
  • Tax is not added to the opening bid.
  • Tax is not added to the Buyer’s Premium.
  • Tax is added at the processing of the lot(s) AFTER the winning bid is announced at the close of the auction.
  1. Condition Report
  • ALL LOTS ARE SOLD AS IS, WHERE IS, AS FOUND.
  • You are advised that a CONDITION REPORT or any discussion regarding the condition of a LOT, that KissiPenne offers for Auction or as Buy Now, are presented/stated as a courtesy.
  • We are not appraisers.
  1. Provenance
  • The LOT(s) that we offer for “auctions” or “buy now” are discovered and bought on the secondary markets. Our buyers travel far and wide to find characterful antique, vintage, and modern treasures. Inventory is owned 100% by KissiPenne, a registered business.

  1. Pick-Up | Shipping
  • Buyer arranges and pays for shipping from Zip Code 51501. Or,
  • Affordable In-House shipping is available, for a fee which covers packaging, handling, and transporting the LOT to the buyer.
  • Shipping is determined by weight and dimensions.
  • Lots handled and shipped by KissiPenne will be insured at the buyer’s expense with signature confirmation upon delivery.
  • Collection of LOT(s) is by appointment only.
  • LOTS not collected within 5 days may incur a charge of $25 per day. Please contact us!
  1. Payment Options
  • Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Bank Draft with a 14-day hold to ensure that the payment cleared.
  1. How to Bid
  • Create a FREE account on kissipenne.com
  • Then register for the advertised auction
  • If you are a returning bidder/buyer—thank you—please log into your account under the “My Account” (link this to my account).
  • If your registration has expired—after 6 months of no access—you will have to create a new account.
  • Thereafter, access the advertised auction and BID or place a PROXY bid.
  1. Pick-Up After the Auction
  • ALL LOTS are packaged in and shipped from Council Bluffs, Iowa.
  • Collection of LOT(s) is by appointment only.
  • LOTS not collected within 7 days may incur a charge of $25 per day.
  • No LOT will be released unless and until the LOT is paid in full.
  • No LOT will be released without government issued identification.
  • A LOT will not be released to a third party without written authorization from the buyer.

  1. When is your next auction?
  • KissiPenne endeavors to host an auction twice a month. Please subscribe to our email notification system on the website to receive email communications about our Auctions and Buy Now sales, respectively.
  • Please remember to check your Spam folder if you are not receiving our emails.
  1. How can I keep track of the LOT(s) I have placed a BID on?
  • Use our “Wishlist” feature which is accessed by clicking the heart icon locate in the top right corner of the LOT.
  • Place a BID – you may be the only bidder and win—you never know…
  1. I forgot my username and password.
  • Please send us an email and we will send you a link to reset the username and password.

Bids (Auctions) are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, where the item is located.
